ZAFES Symposium: Biologicals- Presence and Perspectives

Filed in archive Drugs, Vaccines and Therapeutics , Meetings and Other Events on August 16, 2005

How about a pharmaceutical think-tank that will combine the intellectual resources of the academia and the marketing know-how of both the pharmaceutical and biotech industries to speed up the drug research and discovery? Sounds to good to work? Maybe not.

Founded in 2002 in Frankfurt's Johann Wolfgang Goethe University, the Center for Drug Research, Development and Safety (ZAFES) brings together the best knowledge of the three worlds -- "university", "pharmaceutical industry" and "biotechnology" -- in order to develop innovative drugs in a more efficient and rapid process. ZAFES' vision is to establish a strong pharmaceutical think tank in Europe with its core in the Rhein-Main Region, Germany. Current key projects include pain research, inflammation and cancer.

On September 09, 2005, the 2nd ZAFES Symposium themed, "Biologicals - Presence and Perspectives" will be held. Register and/or see the preliminary program here.
