Spurned by forbidden Fertility treatments in the UK, sperm bank company Cryos plans to launch "fertility ships" where people needing/wanting treatment can board and have it. The ships will be governed by fertility laws of the country whose flag they flew. According to the BBC report, Ole Schou, a consultant to Cryos' ship scheme and who is advising business planners outlining the cost of such enterprises, believes there could be a market for hundreds of ships in Europe, and all would be completely legal.

Clair Brown, chief officer of the Infetility Network UK, however warned people opting for such treatment to make sure of the treatment's safety and legality.
"I can see why couples may consider it but they need to be very careful."

She also raises the issue of post-treatment healthcare, should something go wrong. Read the full BBC report here.
