Medical Blogging Grand Rounds Vol 2, No 4
Filed in archive Biotech/Science Blogs on October 17, 2005

This week's compendium of the best in medical blogging is up at Amy's Diabetes Mine. Amy's treatment of this week's issue is especially insightful, having been delivered from the perspective of the patient, the most-important, but sometimes neglected, entity in the whole dogma of drug discovery and medical research.
I have submitted a previous entry on SEPS1 (Selenoprotein S) gene and its role in inflammation, diabetes, and obesity to this issue of the Grand Rounds. I haven't completed the rounds yet, but at first glance, here are other entries to this round that may also interest you:
War On Unpatented Drugs, by M. Simon at Power and Control
HPV Vaccine Against Cervical Cancer by Elisa C. of HealthConcerns.com
Biology Of Avian Flu by S.Smith of Medpundit
Home HIV Test by Aaron at Two Terms Later
Not included in the Grand Rounds, but which complements my previous post on avian flu is Henry Miller's Reasons to Be Fearful on OpinionJournal.
