GlaxoSmithKline Blocks Sale Of Generic Flonase

A federal judge in Baltimore issued a 10-day restraining order, blocking the shipment and sales of Fluticasone Propionate Nasal Spray (from Roxane Laboratories Inc.'s , FDA-approved last week) and Par Pharmaceutical Companies Inc.'s generic version of Flonase (GlaxoSmithKline), a nasal spray that treats allergic and nonallergic nasal symptoms.
GlaxoSmithKline obtained the restraining order one day after the company sued the FDA for allegedly ailed to follow its own regulations in approving the Flonase generic and failed to apply the same quality standards.

Generic for flonase called Fluticasone manufactured by Glaxo Smithkline is available online at International Drug Mart.
