Genencor Introduces Improved Acid Fungal Protease For Ethanol Production
Genencor International has released a new acid fungal protease for use in the ethanol production industry.

According to Genencor, these of the new enzyme preparation called Fermgen can result to faster ethanol fermentation, with increased nitrogen content. The biggest advantage of this product is that it is effective under low pH (pH 3.0-4.5), which is the pH currently used in the fuel ethanol industry.

Fermgen will be introduced to the public this week during the Fuel Ethanol Workshop in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on June 20-23, 2006.
