Dr. Chris Eagle, chief medical officer with the region, says a problem with a database used by Calgary Lab Services caused some test results to be attributed to the wrong patient. This is the same Internet database that doctors use to view lab test results, hence, it could mean that some people are receiving inappropriate treatment or not getting the treatment they need.Liberal Leader Kevin Taft says the problem raises questions about the implementation of electronic health records.
