The Bay Area is one of the most active biotech hubs, and is host to about 900 biotech companies in Northern California. The BayBio, an independent, non-profit trade association serving the life science industry serving the area, just released BayBio:IMPACT 2007, providing an in-depth look at the impact of 393 innovative life-saving drugs and technologies from Northern California on individual lives around the world.
