Bavarian Nordic sues Acambis over Smallpox Vaccine IP

According to a lawsuit filed by Danish biotech firm Bavarian Nordic, UK-based Acambis met with the firm previously to discuss licensing agreements, but when a $1.9B contract to supply the US government with smallpox vaccine came up for bidding, Acambis ended the discussions with Bavarian Nordic and used the trade secrets it had gleaned to start making its own vaccine, and passing it off as their own.
