$200M Venture Capital For Emerging Public Health Risks

The firm said yesterday that it had raised a total of $200 million for the KPCB Pandemic and Bio Defense Fund, which will be invested in companies working on fighting emerging biological threats, including the bird flu pandemic.
Kleiner also raised $600 million for its 12th general venture fund, $100 million of which will be invested in clean energy technologies.
